Well cook my biscuits and poor the gravy! This issue was quite frankly the best one yet. We get a good dose of what the team is up against and the stage is set for a monster showdown. The Spoilers fly at midnight!

Well this issue has it all, action, intrigue and sex! We start off with Storm and Thunderbird trying to protect the Camerons, only to be ambushed by bad guys! We learn that Heather Cameron is a mutant and it is no secret to her brother Davy.

This scene was really quite facinating. CC makes some very good choices here. Heather is a mutant, but she is not exactly sure what her powers are. She believes she has the ability to do whatever is necessary. She usually uses her powers in secret, but now everyone knows she is a mutie. Davy is very supportive and so are all the surfers! The crowd cheers that one of their own is a hero and who needs the cops. Very cool, considering any counterculture (like surfers) would be more excepting of different things. I liked this choice a lot.

Davy of course feels inadequate in comparison to all of them and Heather. But he still flirts with Storm and Storm still wants him too!

Next we go to another club that where the Russian Mafia has experienced a massacre. Bishop and Inspector Menzies are on the case. Looks like trouble with all the crime families vying for power at the top since the Viceroy's death. We are introduced to a detective seemingly on the outs with Menzies, named Teri Baltimore. She has a wild look and rides a motorcycle. Bishop and her team up to find out what is going on. I liked this pairing and Teri has some real potential.

Back at the team's hotel, Reagan Wyngarde aka Lady Mastermind and Sebastion Shaw have made themselves at home. Reagan is wearing Sage's communication Oakley's and plotting what they will do. Meanwhile Lady MM works her mojo on Sage!

Reagan has Sage locked in a room where she is manipulating her mind in a never ending series of doors leading to different moments in her life. All of which Reagan has manipulated to seem horrorific and cruel until only her role as Tessa and her loyalty to Shaw will seem good. Reagan is trying to bind Sage's loyalty and love to Shaw completely. Shaw is very pleased.

The Last part of the story is the most shocking and not cause of the preview pic floating around the net. Rogue and Remy return to the hotel with Red Lotus in hand. Remy devilishly flirts with Rogue telling her how nice she looks dressed like a girl. To which Rogue responds if he want to see her looking all pretty he could ask her out on a proper date. Just as they get to the hotel, Rogue is sucker punched by Sebastion Shaw.

She goes through the entire building, till she is out the otherside! Not knowing what hit her, she goes back in at full force, only to be quickly knocked out by Shaw. Remy jumps in to save her, but Shaw mentions how his powers will do nothing. Gambit tells Sage to get Rogue and leave, he will deal with Shaw, but...

Sage pulls a gun on Remy! She tells him she was a plant working for Sebastion. Then Red Lotus kicks her in the face and grabs Remy and jumps out the window. Sage... or Reagan Wyngarde fading out of her Sage illusion shoots at them as they fall fifty stories!

Then Rogue awakens from her attack and finds herself in bed with Remy! He asks if this was "proper" enough for her. She turns over and her grabs her in his arms and plants a hot wet one on her! Rogue finally breaks away only to ask how. He tells her she doesn't believe in miracles.

Then Thunderbird's bloody lifeless body is thrown down in front of them. Rogue screams, but Remy seems not to care. Vargas then enters through the wind carrying Sage and Storm's bloody lifeless bodies. He tells her she is a worthy adversary so he will keep her alive, but the same will not be true of her lover! She screams "NO!" He leaves, she runs to Storm and holds her dead body in her arms.

We then see the scene change and Remy turns into Lady Mastermind! There is no one in Rogue's arms. Shaw, likes what he sees. He asks Reagan if she made the illusions suitably tragic. She tells him, he now has an assasin. Reagan has motivated Rogue by using her primal fears. She will do anything they want cause she will think she is doing right. She will be unstoppable! Reagan walks over to Rogue crying over what she believes is Storm's dead body, and picks Rogue up into her arms. She holds Rogue tenderly, telling Shaw that she will be right by Rogue's side throughout. But Rogue sees only Remy holding her and trying to copmfort her! Oh it is so evil!

Last bit has Remy and Red Lotus teaming up. Red tells Remy that his friend Sage has betrayed them. But Remy figured it all out. He relays the info to Red and tells him to trust him. Red decides to. They make a pact, Red to stop Shaw and Remy to stop Rogue!

Next: Boomerang!

Wow this issue was so juicy! So much went down and all of it was just fun. Lady Mastermind and Sage are just so much fun to watch. They are equally creepy and sexy. All the different storylines seem to be coming together. The art is just gorgeous this issue as well. On a side note, Salva draws a beautiful and tragic Rogue here. She looks simply gorgeous in her pink nightie. The best panel was the scene where Rogue gets pounded through the hotel building by Shaw. Simply great! This has to be my favorite issue so far. Can't wait for the next issue!
